US Open: Rublev beats Norrie to claim spot in quarterfinals

New York, Sep 5 Ninth seed Andrey Rublev stormed into the lads’s singles quarterfinals on the US Open right here on Monday, beautiful seventh seed Cameron Norrie of Nice Britain in straight units in a fourth-round showdown on the Louis Armstrong Stadium right here.

In a two-hour, 26-minute encounter marred by rain, Rublev received 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, gaining essential breaks in all three units to emerge victorious. He now awaits the winner of the match between Spain’s Rafael Nadal and residential favorite Frances Tiafoe in the last-eight stage. 4-time champion Nadal and Taifoe play in a while Monday evening.
